Connect Counselling has rooms in Wells, Glastonbury and Frome and offers short, medium and long term counselling which is accessible and affordable to all. We offer help and support to adults and young people experiencing a range of personal problems, such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss, abuse, self-harm and addiction. All clients are listened to in a non-judgemental way and can explore their difficulties, their thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe and confidential environment.
Connect Counsellors are all members of the BACP – British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy or UKCP – United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and work within an ethical framework of good practice. They are regularly supervised, fully insured, DBS cleared and maintain individual self-development and continuing professional development plans. Qualification to Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling is a minimum, with many having higher qualifications and additional training and experience in their individual specialisms.
On the team we also have counsellors and psychotherapists in training who are working towards their Advanced Diplomas in Therapeutic Counselling or Psychotherapy Diploma and MA.
If you consider counselling with us, you will be asked to come in for a free initial assessment. Here you will meet with an assessment counsellor who will help you decide your next step. If you decide to continue you will be offered regular 50 minute sessions with the same counsellor each week.
