Connect Counselling
professional counselling service

At Connect Counselling we have a team of experienced independent Counsellors available to provide services to people and families in and around our community.
Why Counselling?
Many of us encounter difficult or painful experiences which we need to talk through with someone else. Friends can often be very supportive but there are times when they are unable to offer the particular kind of help needed.
Connect Counselling offers:
- A safe and confidential place to feel listened to, accepted and understood
- Opportunities to explore thoughts and feelings
- Finding help to move forward
What areas do we cover?
- Lifestyle issues
- Relationship difficulties
- Addictions and life controlling issues
- Coping with bereavement and separation
- Issues around low self esteem
- Anxiety, stress or depression
- Overcoming fears
- Making tough decisions about the future
- Issues around unemployment, redundancy or retirement
- Coming to terms with serious or chronic physical illness or disability
- Dealing with the impact of physical, emotional or sexual abuse on your life
- Behaviours which are destructive to yourself or others – e.g. unhealthy eating patterns; difficulty in controlling anger; self harm
Cost
We ask for a contribution to counselling cost per session. If you are unable to afford to make a financial contribution, it will not prevent you from receiving counselling
Confidentiality
Our counsellors are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and are bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy and subject to its Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force. All counsellors are supervised.
How can I arrange an appointment?
Connect Counselling can be accessed through our Street Level Access Programme (SLAP) or by contacting us directly.
