Minus Zero° is the name of the Emergency Cold Weather Provision for rough sleepers in Mendip. A partnership project run by Elim Connect Centre, Salvation Army and Mendip District Council.

When the weather is expected to drop below 0°C for three or more consecutive nights the scheme will come into operation providing indoor overnight accommodation for up to 15 rough sleepers. The shelter will open for admissions between 22:00 - 22:30, providing a hot snack, bedding and a safe, warm environment. The shelter will close at 08:00 the following morning after breakfast has been provided.

All rough sleepers who wish to use the facility must pre-book on the day to be allowed entry. This can be done via telephone (01749 677097), the SLAP Drop In (open midday-2pm, Sunday to Fri at the Elim Connect Centre, Wells and 3-5pm on Thursdays at St Benedict's Church, Glastonbury) or via a service provider (such as Turning Point or the Police) who are able to refer their client.
